Following its purple-tape reissue of 1988′s ‘Bug’ this past summer, Dinosaur Jr now will pair that album with cassette reissues of its first two records — 1985′s ‘Dinosaur’ and 1987′s ‘You’re Living All Over Me’ — in a limited-edition, wooden box set.

Sonic Youth wrapped up a short South American tour last night with a 70-minute set at the SWU Music & Arts Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil — something that normally wouldn’t be particularly newsworthy, except that it might have been the legendary noise-rockers’ final performance after 30 years together.

Here’s a nice bit of not-so-vintage video: A full 80-minute, 26-song Pixies concert filmed in Boston in 2004 for broadcast on HDTV as the special “Pixies Come Home: Live From their 2004 World Tour.” Thanks to the Pixies themselves for sharing the video on the band’s official Facebook page yesterday.

Now that Morrissey has shifted what was to have been the opening night of his U.S. and Mexican tour to the end of the trek, it appears he may be expanding the run — fans in the Detroit area can catch Moz on Dec. 18, the day after the now-rescheduled Chicago date.

Still another week before the release of Kate Bush’s new album ’50 Words for Snow’ — a 65-minute collection featuring ‘seven brand new tracks set against a background of falling snow’ — but you can now stream the full record in advance of its release via NPR Music.

(‘Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage’) and Wall of Voodoo (‘Lost Weekend’), and expanded reissue of Cabaret Voltaire’s ‘Johnny YesNo’ soundtrack and Curt Smith’s solo effort ‘Mayfield.’
