The Mission unveils first U.S. tour in 11 years — plus U.K. dates with Fields of the Nephilim

Next September, two years after reuniting to celebrate the band’s 25th anniversary, The Mission will tour North America for the first time in 11 years, playing a short run of 10 concerts set to take place mostly on the East and West coasts of the United States, with a lone Canadian date thrown in, the band announced today.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ 15th studio album, Push the Sky Away, doesn’t arrive until mid-February, but the band today premiered the record’s first single, “We No Who U R,” via Rolling Stone — and you can hear the track rigth here. The single goes on sale this week in advance of the full album’s arrival Feb. 18.

Last night at New York City’s Terminal 5, the reunited Dinosaur Jr celebrated the 25th anniversary of You’re Living All Over Me by playing the 1987 album in its entirety and then enlisting members of The Smiths, Pixies, Sonic Youth, The Replacements and The Melvins to help blast through a second, career-spanning set.
