The ‘Last Splash’-era lineup of The Breeders — Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs, and Jim Macpherson — has reunited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of that album and its breakout hit “Cannonball,” and will reissue the record in a deluxe edition and then perform it live on tour in the U.S. and Europe in 2013.

For this week’s “120 Minutes” Rewind, we offer up this classic performance by Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper of their 1989 single “Debbie Gibson is Pregnant With My Two-Headed Love Child,” the video for which MTV refused to play, apparently out of fear of offending the teen queen.

U.K. post-punk legends Wire today announced the release of their fourth post-reunion album and 13th overall, a 13-track collection called ‘Change Becomes Us’ that is due out next March and “began as an exploration of unrecorded material originally written in 1979-80,” according to an e-mail the band sent to fans.

Hey, New Yorkers (or those of who you will be in the vicinity of the Big Apple late next week): The good folks at Live Nation have hooked us up with five pairs of tickets to see Concrete Blonde at Irving Plaza on Dec. 13, and we’re going to give them away to five lucky Slicing Up Eyeballs readers next week.

Still no further word on Kevin Shields’ recent claim he’ll release the 21-years-in-the-making follow-up to My Bloody Valentine’s 1991 classic ‘Loveless’ by the end of the year, but there are continued signs of life from the slumbering shoegaze giant, with MBV today announcing three U.K. shows set for next March.

Reprising a show staged earlier this year in New York City, German electronic collective Kraftwerk will bring its ground-breaking 3-D multimedia presentation “Kraftwerk – Retrospective 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8” to London’s Tate Modern museum, performing each of its eight albums in its entirety across nine nights in February.
