“Dark Wave,” hosted by Slicing Up Eyeballs’ Matt Sebastian, explores the darker side of classic ’80s alternative, including vintage goth, post-punk and industrial. The show airs at 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Eastern every Sunday on Sirius XM’s 1st Wave (Channel 33).
The most recent two episodes are available to subscribers to stream via the Sirius XM app.

That was a fantastic show tonight! Great mix of styles, at least for my taste! If I had to choose, Hour 1 was my favorite, but there were some amazing tracks throughout and a really strong ending with Stagger Lee. I particularly liked that although I knew most of the bands, the actual tracks you chose were the less common ones, which is perfect!
Wonder if a “Wire side projects” block might be a good idea, or at least a song or two – so many amazing projects that I love of theirs. Here’s a few possibilities:

Fantastic show last night, really had something for everyone. I’m not sure I can pick a leader of the pack, all 3 hours showcased what brings us coming back every Sunday night. This show is such a treat and I love that I can listen again during the week, got it on right now as I’m typing. Thanks for playing my Gang of Four request, I love that deep cut. Andy’s guitar part is just killer. Loved hearing Spacemen 3 too. I’ve been lucky enough to see Spiritualized play that one live. And Stagger Lee is just about the perfect show closer, nice one.
Slumberland records are re-releasing a comp of some very old Velocity Girl stuff, including their first EP, on August 28. Very pumped to finally have these tracks on vinyl. To celebrate how about “Forgotten Favorite” on a future communion.
