“Dark Wave,” hosted by Slicing Up Eyeballs’ Matt Sebastian, explores the darker side of classic ’80s alternative, including vintage goth, post-punk and industrial. The show airs at 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Eastern every Sunday on Sirius XM’s 1st Wave (Channel 33).

The most recent two episodes are available to subscribers to stream via the Sirius XM app.

Got a request? Requests will be considered for future episodes, but there’s no guarantee they’ll be played. They must fit the show’s format and fall generally within the 1st Wave era. And not be something the host really dislikes. If there’s something you’d like to hear, drop it in the comments below.

What comes next I don’t likely know… But on and on we go !

    • As much as I absolutely adore every minute of You And Me And Rainbows, at over 16 minutes long it would take a substantial portion of the show! But any Ka-Spel or related always makes me happy, yes!

  2. amazing night as always!! especially loved the nitzer ebb, armageddon dildos, ministry, and front 242 tracks :-))
would love to request violent peace by excessive force or butyric acid by consolidated for a future show.

  3. Really good show tonight – I especially liked the second half of hour two since there were things I didn’t know at all (Electric Guitars, W.A.T.) or had only vaguely heard before. Love those early 80s oddities! And many thanks for playing Robotiko Rejekto, my request from a few weeks ago, woo!
Here’s a few requests for future shows:

Skinny Puppy – Ode To Groovy (In Defense of Animals Compilation)
    Cubanate – Oxyacetylene (Cyberia)
Qntal – Unter der Linden (Qntal self-titled)
Camouflage – Kling Klang (One Fine Day B-Side)
Orange Sector – Kalt Wie Stahl (Faith)

  4. Same as Nancy, didn’t really know the last 4 tracks of hour two, but really liked them all!

Some new requests for the future:

    Danielle Dax – Pariah
Section 25 – Program for Light
    Click Click – I Rage, I Melt
DAF – Der Räuber und der Prinz
I Start Counting – Ra! Ra! Rawhide

  5. LOVE hearing Schnitt Acht…especially when it’s not something from them that I requested! Highlight track of the show for me.

Anyway – bubbling a request back up from last month: Swamp Terrorists: “Shape Draw Back”.

    Thanks!!

    Dave W.
    Long Branch, NJ

  6. For future shows:

    1. A Matter of Time – Berlin (with Terri Nunn off the “Best of Berlin” compilation)
    2. The Ordinary Boys – Morrissey
    3. Tora! Tora! Tora! – Depeche Mode

  7. Looking forward to diving in on this one! How about ‘Jerusalem’ by the Fall off Kurious Oranj

  8. In honor of the great Jennifer Finch, how about some L7 on a future episode? I think “Shitlist” is one of the most kick ass songs of the ’90s, so that gets my vote, though any track would work for me.

Wishing all those reading this a great week ahead!

  9. Erich Häring

Loved the bits of shoegaze tonight. I hope I’d be able to hear more synth wave on the show such as “A Realness” by Boy Harsher. I’d also love to hear “Stay” by Shakespeare Sister! I look forward to the next communion.

    • Boy Harsher! Great band and great choice. I would add to the Boy Harsher list: the song “Come Closer” from 2019’s album Careful. Such a great song and album.

  10. Psychedelic Furs – Heaven

  11. Hey Matt, Nice show last night!

  12. Matt! Thanks for playing House of Love. Babe Rainbow is definitely my favorite album of theirs.

  13. Great show again last night! I’ve been listening to Dark Wave for years and it makes Sunday my favorite night of the week. Thank you!

    A couple requests:

    1. “Jenny I Read” by the amazing Concrete Blonde
    2. “Alpha Omega” by Project Pitchfork
    3. “Monochrome” by Lush

Sidenote: delighted last night to hear you play Lush! More Lush, please and thank you.
