Tanya Donelly is giving away a set of 10 demos that laid the foundation of her band Belly’s 1993 debut Star in honor of the man who produced and engineered the recordings: Joe Harvard, co-founder of Boston’s famed Fort Apache Studios, who died Sunday. This week’s new release include a box set of R.E.M.’s IRS-era singles on 7-inch, plus the “Millions Like Us” mod revival box set, vinyl reissues from Belly and The Lemonheads, a reissue of The Jam’s “Setting Son” and a new double-album from Camper Van Beethoven offshoot Cracker.

Originally released in 1993, Star — the debut album from ex-Throwing Muses member Tanya Donelly’s band Belly — will receive its first-ever American vinyl release later this year when Plain Recordings reissues the title on 180-gram vinyl, the label announced on Facebook.
