The 2006 best-of celebrating Manchester supergroup Electronic — featuring New Order’s Bernard Sumner and Johnny Marr of The Smiths — will be reissued next month.

Pet Shop Boys will collect 55 of their singles released between 1985 and 2020 in a new collection that spreads the tracks across either six vinyl LPs or three CDs.

The Pet Shop Boys last week released a new “lockdown version” of their early hit single “Pet Shop Boys,” with a new musical bed put together by Chris Lowe on his laptop at the home where he’s in isolation from the coronavirus, and new vocals sung by Neil Tennant. You can hear the new version here.

The Pet Shop Boys will release their 14th studio album in January, a 10-song collection called Hotspot that will include the recently released dance track “Dreamland” — featuring Olly Alexander of the UK synthpop outfit Years & Years — as well as the new single “Burning the Heather,” which includes an assist from Bernard Butler.

The Pet Shop Boys won’t release the next single off their new album Electric until November — “Thursday,” featuring the rapper Example — but they went ahead and debuted the track’s music video, which features a giant Neil Tennant projected onto the sides of buildings.
