Today we commemorate Tears For Fears co-founder Roland Orzabal’s 49th birthday with this choice 1983 clip of the band performing ‘Head Over Heels’ sandwiched between two halves of ‘Broken’ (the latter of which, at that point, had been released as ‘We Are Broken’ on the B-side of ‘Pale Shelter’).
This week’s new releases include a pair of EPs from Killing Joke and the Peter Hook-led Freebass that already were issued online earlier this year, plus a new digital single from Tears For Fears’ Curt Smith.
Following their upcoming dates opening for the reunited Spandau Ballet in Australia, Tears For Fears will return to North America late this summer for a headlining tour of their own, with at least 17 dates announced so far in the Eastern U.S. and Canada — including a pair of free concerts.
Tears For Fears will play a one-off concert in Los Angeles next month as the band rehearses for its upcoming tour supporting the reunited Spandau Ballet in Australia, bandmember Curt Smith announced yesterday.
