Directed by Oscar winner Davis Guggenheim, the U2 documentary ‘From the Sky Down’ — about the making of ‘Achtung Baby’ — will premiere Oct. 29 on Showtime in advance of its appearance on the expanded reissue of the Irish band’s 1991 album.

A couple weeks ago, the Demon Music Group rolled out fancy 3-D previews of The Jesus and Mary Chain’s much-anticipated 2CD/1DVD reissues, and now the label has posted short trailers of the first two: 1985′s ‘Psychocandy’ and 1987′s ‘Darklands,’ which will be released Sept. 19.

The Fall will release their 29th studio album in 35 years — a 10-track collection called ‘Ersatz G.B.’ — in November, when they’ll also embark on an nine-date tour of their native U.K. to mark the record’s arrival.

With its release now less than a week away, Sonic Youth has issued a short, two-minute trailer for the long-overdue DVD release of ‘1991: The Year Punk Broke,’ the concert film that chronicled the band’s tour of Europe that year with opening act Nirvana.
