Dave Gahan soon will have a new Depeche Mode album to promote, but first he’s trying his hand at selling Volkswagens: The frontman appears, fairly briefly, in a new French commercial for the VW Golf that is soundtracked by a couple cover versions of the DM staple “People Are People” as well as the original recording.

Morrissey will reschedule the remainder of his postponed North American tour in the beginning of January following his planned December dates in Australia and New Zealand, according to a post today on semi-official fansite True To You, which reports that the new U.S. dates are due to be announced Nov. 12.
