R.E.M. will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its grunge-era return-to-rock Monster this fall with a 6-disc box set that will include previously unheard demos, an unreleased live concert, the “Road Movie” film and a newly remixed version of the album by original producer Scott Litt. Synthpop legends Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark today announced plans to release a career-spanning 7-disc box set with unreleased live and studio material as well as a 20-song singles collection — both titled Souvenir — and debuted a new single called “Don’t Go.” Check out the full tracklist right here.

The Pixies this week announced plans to release a new studio album in September, a 12-track record called Beneath the Eyrie that is the band’s third post-reunion, post-Kim Deal effort and seventh full-length overall. The first single, “On Graveyard Hill,” is streaming right here.

Mike Scott returns with a new album by The Waterboys this May, a 10-song collection entitled Where the Action Is — the title is inspired by the chorus to Robert Parker’s northern soul classic “Let’s Go Baby” — that follows up the band’s hip-hop inspired double album Out Of All This Blue.
