Crime and the City Solution — which, during the ’80s, included members of The Birthday Party, Swell Maps and Einstürzende Neubauten — will release its first new album in 23 years next month, and they’ve just dropped the first video from the record, a clip for opening track “Goddess,” which you can see right here.

Alison Moyet today announced an extensive, 24-date tour of the U.K. and Ireland this fall in support of her upcoming album ‘the minutes’ — that’s the just-revealed cover art posted above — and said the concerts will place the new album “center stage” and focus on “significant electronic material in her back catalog.”

Meat Puppets returns this spring with their 14th studio album — the 12-track Rat Farm, which Curt Kirkwood dubs “real blown-up folk music” — and will support the release with a spring U.S. tour that will include as-yet-unannounced appearances at the South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas.

The two albums from short-lived chart toppers Fine Young Cannibals — comprised of singer Roland Gift and former English Beat members Andy Cox and David Steele — will be reissued later this month by Demon Music Group’s Edsel imprint as expanded 2CD sets featuring bonus B-sides, remixes and non-album tracks.

Cherry Red Records this afternoon unveiled the massive, 127-song tracklist for its now 5-disc box called Scared To Get Happy: A Story of Indie-Pop 1980-1989, which the U.K. label has said is inspired by Lenny Kaye’s classic Nuggets garage-rock compilation and is “devoted to the 1980s indie guitar-pop revolution.”

Depeche Mode today announced it will release its 13th studio album — a 13-track effort titled ‘Delta Machine’ that was produced by Ben Hillier and mixed by Flood— worldwide on March 26, to be preceded by the first single “Heaven,” which will receive its world premiere on Vevo on Feb. 1.

Cherry Red Records next month will reissue U.K. art rockers The Blue Aeroplanes’ 1991 album ‘Beatsongs’ — featuring the singles “Yr Own World” and “The Boy in the Bubble,” the latter a Paul Simon cover — in an expanded 2CD edition with 10 bonus tracks, including B-sides, mixes and a pair of previously unreleased tracks.

The recently revived Factory Benelux next month will reissue the Martin Hannett-produced ‘Swimming’ — the lone album released by Brussels-based post-punk act The Names during its original run — on CD and vinyl, featuring a remastered version of the original 1982 record plus non-album singles and a Peel session.

With an April tour of the U.K. expected to be announced Wednesday, The House of Love is now previewing two tracks off its upcoming sixth album, ‘She Paints Words in Red,’ on the band’s official Facebook page. Currently streaming are 1-minute samples of opening song “A Baby Got Back on its Feet” and the title track.

A thought-to-be-lost mid-’90s album by Duran Duran keyboardist and co-founder Nick Rhodes and the band’s former guitarist, Warren Cuccurullo, that was recorded under the moniker TV Mania finally will see the light of day this March when it’s released both digitally and in a pair of uber-deluxe vinyl editions.

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark this morning announced they will release ‘English Electric’ — their second post-reunion album and 12th studio set overall — this April, and both revealed the record’s tracklist and released a short animated teaser video set to the quasi-instrumental track “Decimal.”
