The Waterboys today formally announced the release of the band’s new double record, a 23-song collection called Out Of All This Blue that’s due out Sept. 8 and features “echoes of classic R&B, country, soul and funk … underpinned by modern hip-hop production values and rhythms.” See full tracklist here.

The Futurismo label this summer will reissue the limited-edition Devo rarities set Recombo DNA! — described as a career-spanning “sonic fusion of demos, alternate versions and outtakes” — on 4LPs and a 3-inch mini CD in an expanded edition with seven previously tracks. Pet Shop Boys today announced a new reissue series titled “Catalogue: 1985-2012” that will see the duo’s Parlophone studio albums remastesred and reissued in two- and three-disc editions featuring “Further listening” bonus discs with previously unreleased bonus tracks and demos.

Rhino Records next month will mark the 40th anniverary of the Ramones’ classic 1977 sophomore album Leave Home with a deluxe 3CD/1LP reissue of the record that includes a remastering of the original album and a brand-new mix by original engineer Ed Stasium, as well a heap of previously unreleased bonus material.

Cherry Red Records has finalized the tracklist for its massive Manchester North of England box set, a 7-disc collection due out next month that features 146 songs spanning 1977 to 1993 by such fabled Mancunians as Joy Divison, New Order, The Stone Roses, Morrissey (but not The Smiths), The Fall and Oasis.
