English synthpop icons The Human League have announced their first U.S. concerts of 2018, a pair of club shows in Las Vegas and San Francisco that bookend an appearance at the Like Totally ’80s Festival in Huntington Beach, Calif. — where the group will appear on a bill with The Alarm, Gene Loves Jezebel and The Untouchables.

The Stray Cats, the high-octane rockabilly trio that became an unlikely New Wave-era breakout in the early 1980s, will reunite for the first time in nine years this April to perform at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend, guitarist/frontman Brian Setzer announced this week. The band will play on April 21.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival unveiled the mammoth lineup for its two-weekend extravaganza this April, a bill that features legendary Talking Heads frontman David Byrne and 164 other musical acts, some whose names are written in really, really small type. Iconic noise-rock act The Jesus Lizard will come together this December to play its first concert since its 2009 reunion tour, joining Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, Solange, St. Vincent, Laurie Anderson and more on the bill of the Day For Night Festival in Houston, Texas.

The Jesus and Mary Chain will return to the U.S. this fall to headline the Cloak & Dagger Festival in Los Angeles, a two-day event that also will feature KMFDM and Poptone, featuring Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins of Bauhaus, Tones on Tail and Love and Rockets. Full details here.

With the second weekend of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in full swing, the event’s organizers continue to upload stellar-quality pro-shot video clips to the fest’s YouTube channel — including this footage of New Order’s 9-minute run through “Temptation” that closed its main set last Sunday night.

Chicago’s Riot Fest this morning unveiled the lineup for its three-day September festival, which will be headlined by Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age and a reunited Jawbreaker. Also on the bill: New Order, Ministry, Dinosaur Jr, X, Bad Brains, Buzzcocks, GBH, Fishbone and Alice Bag.
