Seeing as how we’re a bit late in delivering the December entry in the Auto Reverse mixtape series, we’re going to break format slightly and instead drop a huge Christmas mix on you — a 40-song, two-hour collection of festive fare from the likes of X, R.E.M., Cocteau Twins and more.
After righting the mixtape ship last month, we’ve made great efforts to re-stablize delivery of the Auto Reverse series, and so now comes the November installment. Below you can stream via Mixcloud, or download, two 45-minute sides brimming with great music from your favorite artists.
Well, this is a tad more than just a little embarrassing. We’re not just a couple weeks behind, but, rather, nearly two months late in posting the next installment in the Auto Reverse mixtape series — so late, in fact, that we’ve gone ahead and made it a double. This month’s Auto Reverse mixtape features new music from both the Pixies and ex-Pixie Kim Deal, plus some vintage tunes by The Replacements, X, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, New Order, The Mission, Robyn Hitchcock, The Cure, King Missile, The Godfathers, Ramones and The Bubblemen.
This month’s tape features brand-new music from Nine Inch Nails and Miracle Legion’s Mark Mulcahy, plus classics from Talking Heads, Richard Hell, Billy Bragg, Midnight Oil, Galaxie 500, Screaming Blue Messiahs, Elvis Costello, Gang of Four, Pylon, Orange Juice, Sugar and much more.
Well, this is embarrassing. We’re more than two weeks later with this month’s installment of the Auto Reverse mixtape — two 45-minute sides of music new and vintage from your favorite artists. And, while we’re still using Mixcloud to stream the tape, due to popular demand, it’s downloadable, too — for a limited time.
