Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys make Rock Hall of Fame — The Cure snubbed

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this morning announced its Class of 2012, a list that does not include first-time nominees The Cure, but does feature ’80s college-rock vets Red Hot Chili Peppers plus Beastie Boys, Guns N’ Roses, Donovan, Laura Nyro and a combination of The Faces and The Small Faces.

The Wedding Present to release new album in March, bring ‘Seamonsters’ tour to U.S.

The Wedding Present plans to release its eighth studio album in March, frontman David Gedge announced Tuesday, then embark on a 14-date North American tour that will see the band performing those new songs in addition to playing 1991’s ‘Seamonsters’ in its entirety as part of that record’s 21st anniversary.
