A five-date U.K. arena tour planned for this September featuring The Cult with support from a pair of freshly reunited contemporaries — The Mission and the original lineup of Killing Joke — has been downsized to smaller venues in what is almost certainly a sign of shockingly poor ticket sales.
Bob Mould will release a new album called ‘Silver Age’ that Merge Records likens to the ‘punishingly loud, melodically sparkling pop/rock vein of the Sugar catlalog’ — a fitting comparison, since Mould will tour the album in the U.S. this fall by playing that band’s ‘Copper Blue’ front-to-back.
