“Dark Wave,” hosted by Slicing Up Eyeballs’ Matt Sebastian, explores the darker side of classic ’80s alternative, including vintage goth, post-punk and industrial. The shows airs at 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Eastern every Sunday on Sirius XM satellite radio’s 1st Wave (Channel 33).
The most recent two episodes are also available to subscribers to stream via the Sirius XM app.
Got a request? Requests will be considered for future episodes as long as they fit the show’s format and fall generally within the 1st Wave era — and provided the host doesn’t harbor an intense dislike of the song. If there’s something you’d like to hear, drop it in the comments below.

Just curious – what are the songs for which you harbor a intense dislike?
Another fun show Matt, there was a big thunderstorm going on in my area while I was listening to the show and it was very appropriate. Do you ever play any of Depeche Mode’s instrumentals? I’d love to hear Agent Orange on the show.
Thanks!

Here’s a new request for an upcoming Industrial block:
Consecration’s Will // Controlled Bleeding
Also, hard to believe we are now at the 30-year mark of Sweet FA’s release!…. perhaps at some point this later month you can spin “Words of a Fool”… much obliged if so! :)
Cheers!
A really awesome show this week Matt! Thank you for playing No Big Deal for me – I like that underrated album too! As for NIN I am happy to be one of your listeners who raved about the performance….it was incredible! Some possible suggestions for next time:
Rosetta Stone – Darkside
The Mission UK – Serpents Kiss
Clan of Xymox – Jasmine and Rose
Thanks again as always!!! 。◕‿◕。
Spring is almost here. Thank God.
Great Show Matt. If you play Catherine Wheel again soon, can I hear Crank. Also, not sure if it fits but Come See About Me by Afghan Whigs too.
Thanks
The Verve – All in the Mind
Banger of a show this week! Did anyone else notice that the cover of an Aaliyah album pops up on the app during “Get Down”? Pretty funny, I bet RevCo would approve. Thanks for playing my Wire request, I love that one. Live Bunnymen always requires a turn up of the volume, especially “Do It Clean”. NIN and Pailhead back to back kicked major ass. And I definitely agree with you about the L&R self-titled album. For the longest time that was my fave album of theirs.
Request for a future communion: “Low Life” by Public Image Ltd.
Have a great week Matt, cheers!
i think Get Down is my favorite RevCo song – so groovy :)
Get better soon, Jello! if it were available in an audio format I’d request his Flag Pledge from the In Case You Didn’t Feel Like Showing Up video. Peak Jello, IMO.
Thanks for the show every week, Matt!
Hi Matt, another great show on Sunday, Can I request Siglo XX “Send me your tears” from the Under a Purple Sky, Thank you Matt,
Peter
The Jesus And Mary Chain – Degenerate
Hi Matt, could you play Saint Became a Lush by Psyche? Thank you.
Hi Matt,
I have a request for The Smiths – This Charming Man from Hatful of Hollow, Peel Session 14/09/83.
I miss listening to Peel Sessions from my favorite bands when I was young!
Thank you for giving us listeners something to look forward to weekly.
– Celia
Hey Matt. Good stuff.
How about Drink your Poison from Caberet Voltaire or Ease by P.I.L.
Great as always. Can’t wait for next week. It falls on my birthday! (Industrial power hour pls?? lol)
Xmal Deutschland- Allein
Thank you.
How I love JAMC to kick things off! And live Bunnymen is always a highlight, plus Love & Rockets, Joy Division, and Pailhead.
And thinking of assorted Ian MacKaye side projects has influenced a request for an upcoming episode. With Easter coming soon, this seems appropriate:
Egg Hunt – “We all fall down”
Thank you!
Dead Kennedys – We’ve Got A Bigger Problem Now (1981) Apple Music + Qobuz
Cosmetics – The Crack (Long Version) (1982) Vinyl Only
A recent band local to Louisville really fits into the dark wave communion, if you play it I hope others enjoy as well.
White Woolly – Tutto Passa
Greetings Matt, great show! Really enjoyed the UK Decay track you played on this episode and dug the remixes of some familiar faves by NIN and Pailhead. Play Dead was also great and that Oto song was some nice new old music to my ears. Right after that Wire classic! Looking forward to the next transmission
Loved the Executive Slacks. I have started listening to Nausea, which I am loving. How about playing that song “In and Out?” So good.
