In honor of the cold waves festival, please play some proto cyberpunk of Clock DVA.
Please play some DAF. I’ve recently gone down the rabbit hole on them and can’t get enough. Thanks.
More 45 Grave, please.
respectfully request that you please play the Pixies Wave of Mutation (UK Surf)
Hey Matt, excellent show tonight. I loved the track by David Bowie
Hi Matt
Many many moons ago, you played my only request of you… it was the original version of Nowhere Girl by B-Movie. Thank you eternally for that!!
Back in the 80s/90s Swedish Egle on KROQ had a show i believe on Thursday nights… he played a bunch of industrial music.
With that being said…I could swear he played Baby Ford – Children of the Revolution (12″ Remix)
Is this something that might fit in? I hope so… thank you for all of your work on your show. It is the best thing about First Wave.
Siouxsie & the Banshees – Cannibal Roses
please and thanks Matt
Always enjoy the show on my ride in Mondays and thru the day. I have an Apple Music Playlist of each show dating back to 2019. Something to add on The Chameleons, “Nostaliga” (What Does Anything Mean? Basically). The song is also on their new album ‘Tomorrow Remember Yesterday’ which are lyrics from the song Nostaliga. I know you know this. I wasn’t aware that Nostaliiga was an earlier song. Another reason I enjoy the show. Looking forward to seeing The Chameleons again in ATL July 10th !!
The Cure – Bird Mad Girl
I say Matt, another smooth, rich trip down the Dark Wave corridors and Bowie too, much thanx!
Here’s some nods hopefully, all the best always.
KMFDM-Itchy Bitchy(What do you know Deutschland?)
NON-Out Out Out(God and Beast)
MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL KULT-Dementia66(13 Above the Night)
Great set last night! That live version of Do It Clean is blistering. Scorcher of an industrial block in hour 3 as well. And thanks for playing my Spacemen 3 request, much obliged. Love that Church track to close the show, nice one.
I think we’re overdue for some Suede. How about a dealer’s choice cut? “Painted People” would be cool too.
Have a great week Matt, cheers!
all great stuff but that progression of songs 2, 3, and 4 was particularly awesome.
Thanks as always!
oh a request for future: Autobahn from Kraftwerk (the shorter single version), which I’m pretty stoked to be seeing live this weekend!!
Wow absolutely killer show last night…..some of my favorite songs…. Bauhaus, Duran Duran, Joy Division, Pigface, Skinny Puppy, The Strangers!! Thank you for my Concrete Blonde request too – soooo awesome! Anyway…..some possible suggestions for next time:
Devo – Girl U Want
Black Flag – Nervous Breakdown
Suicidal Tendencies – Subliminal
Thanks again as always!!!! 。◕‿◕。
Love those requests!
Thanks Nicole! Your requests are spot on also!!!!
ah i love that ST track. nice call.
It’s an awesome track!
Hey Matt,
Great show as always. Love hearing anything from Ultra.
The last time I had a discussion about that particular album was with my late friend Adrian. We were driving from Chicago to Detroit many moons ago to go to city club.
I put that one On the shelf for quite some time now, so hearing it brought back some great memories =]
And thank you for playing Bare
I understand that wild mood swings doesn’t get many requests, but I believe there’s 2 more songs that are DW worthy. Perhaps in the next several months we’ll hear them….
Also, can you play Blind by swans in a future show?
Until next week….
Ryan
Awesome set! Thanks for including my Bowie request – as always, much appreciated! A few highlights include: live Bunnymen, The Chameleons, The Sound, Rose of Avalanche, and Spacemen 3.
A request – I’m feeling shoegazey…
Ride “leave them all behind”
Thank you for the weekly fix of the dark stuff!
Only good thing about being laid up with the flu for a few weeks is listening to old episodes. Thanks for playing Murder Inc for me a couple of shows ago. Can’t wait to listen to this one.
While I was sick, had a fever dream. Went to go see Concrete Blonde only to find they had become a Taylor Swift cover band. Would like to request a great song from Ms. Napolitano and the fellows to wash that out of my head. Maybe “Cold Side of Town”, “Valentine”, or “The Sky is a Poisonous Garden”. One of their sadder or angrier ones please.
Thanks very much for doing this show. The music always helps me get through my week. Have a good one.
Burney, hope you’re feeling better!
Feel better soon
Burney, that fever dream sounds like a nightmare! Hope you’re feeling better man.
Good DW!
I’d like to request anything from The Gun Club, in memory of Jeffrey Lee Pierce, who passed on 3/31 many years ago. Thanks!
New Model Army – Christian Militia (1984) Apple Music + Qobuz
Coïtus Int. – It’s Springtime, Baby (1985) Qobuz + Bandcamp
I was rifling through my records, and I found Metropolis- “Time of War.” Can you play this in the near future?
Fun setlist. Sisters-Anaconda would be great to hear sometime soon.
Show me – The Pretenders or Anything by Marc and the Mambas
Great show as usual. Could you please play Cut The Skin(Razormaid Mix) by The Hunger? Just looking back at the old early 90’s industrial music, and this one is one of my favorites. Thanks, and keep playing the great dark tracks!
