The Sisters of Mercy opened their month-long European tour with a two-night stand at London’s Roundhouse on Friday and Saturday nights, offering setlists that traded in the band’s most well-known material and some rarities, including covers of Mission of Burma and Link Wray, and rare performances of two 1984 singles.

The highly anticipated XTC  documentary “This Is Pop” — the subject of a petition earlier this year to convince the BBC to air it after the network allegedly passed on the program — will, in fact, be seen on TV in the UK this fall: Sky Arts is set to broadcast the film in October. Morrissey adds second Hollywood Bowl concert with Billy Idol after quick sellout

After a quick sellout of the first date, Morrissey this afternoon announced he’ll play a second concert at the Hollywood Bowl this November with opener Billy Idol, a pair of shows that come about a week before the release of his 11th solo album, Low in High-School. Tickets go on sale next Tuesday.
