Paul Westerberg’s solo debut ‘14 Songs’ to receive first-ever vinyl release in 2014

As we first mentioned last month, Paul Westerberg’s post-Replacements solo debut —1993’s 14 Songs, featuring alt-rock radio hit “World Class Fad” — will receive its first-ever vinyl release next year in an 180-gram pressing similar to the previously announced release of his 1996 follow-up album Eventually.

previously unreleased and apparently never-completed 5-minute-long Talking Heads instrumental called “Theme” has surfaced online via a recording of the first of the band’s two sets opening for a pair of performances by Television at CBGB’s on the night of July 30, 1976.

Following last April’s vinyl-only Record Store Day releases, Domino next year will reissue all four original albums from Scottish indie-pop act Orange Juice — You Can’t Hide Your Love Forever (1982), Rip It Up (1982), Texas Fever (1984) and The Orange Juice (1984) — on CD, as digital downloads and, once again, on vinyl.
