With Doktor Avalanche in tow, frontman Andrew Eldritch will continue The Sisters of Mercy’s 30th anniversary tour with newly announced festival dates this summer and a pair of November concerts in Dublin and London — plus the goth-rock legends’ first-ever performance in Japan.
With little fanfare, the band played a short run of shows in Europe this past February and March dubbed SISTERS XXX. The trek picks back up again with a slot at the Sonisphere Festival in the Czech Republic on June 11, and continues into July with four festival dates, including a stop at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan.
After that, the Sisters have just two more shows announced: dates in mid-November in Dublin — the band’s first Irish concert in 14 years, according to fan site The Sisters of Mercy 2011 — and London. It’s unclear whether more shows are in the cards.

Saw these guys in LA a couple of years ago. One of the most disappointing performances ever (from a band I love)
30 year anniversary and 21 years since their last album. Time for a new record. :)
