Is Depeche Mode’s Martin L. Gore preparing to debut new music next week? Mute Records is teasing something involving Gore happening Nov. 17 — this Tuesday — but it’s not clear what that may be. The label tweeted a stylized image of Gore on Saturday with that date. No other information is yet known.
For Depeche Mode fans hoping the band’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this spring will bring all five current and former members — Dave Gahan, Martin L. Gore, Andrew Fletcher, Vince Clarke and Alan Wilder — together onstage, don’t hold your breath. Full details right here.
Depeche Mode songwriter and co-founder Martin Gore next month will release a 16-track electronic instrumental album titled MG, a collection Mute Records is billing as the “soundtrack to an emotional and mysterious film of your own design.” You can stream the track “Europa Hymn” now.

Mute Records this week released a 10-minute video Q&A with former Depeche Mode bandmates Vince Clarke and Martin L. Gore in which the duo discuss their reunion under the banner of the VCMG techno project, the making of their album ‘Ssss’ and unresolved issues between the two.
This week’s new releases include ‘Tiempo de Lujo,’ the 13th studio album from Scott McCaughey’s long-running Young Fresh Fellows, the limited-edition, purple-vinyl ‘Bug: Live at the 9:30 Club’ from Dinosaur Jr,’ and the third EP from VCMG, the collaboration between Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore and Vince Clarke.
