The Damned — still anchored after all these years by founding members Dave Vanian and Captain Sensible — return to the U.S. this fall for a very short “Hallow-East Tour” that sees the band hitting four cities on the East Coast of the U.S. around Halloween. Joining the festivities: TSOL.

The three long-out-of-print studio albums released by the original lineup of The Lords of the New Church — the so-called postpunk supergroup that featured frontman Stiv Bators of The Dead Boys and guitarist Brian James of The Damned — between 1982 and 1984 will be reissued on CD this fall.

This week’s new releases include a best-of from Mission of Burma, a vintage live album from Pulp, a box set collecting The Jam’s six studio albums, an expanded reissue of The Damned’s debut album and the U.S. release of the final Throbbing Gristle work.

With the band’s 35th anniversary tour still two months away, The Damned isn’t wasting time boning up on their 1980 release ‘The Black Album,’ which the goth-punk legends will perform each night of the tour. In this video, Captain Sensible talks about making the album and the upcoming tour.

This week’s new releases include expanded 2CD/1DVD reissues of Erasure’s ‘Wonderland’ and ‘The Circus,’ plus new albums from Brian Eno (‘Drums Between the Bells’) and Blondie (‘Panic of Girls’), and a 2DVD/1CD live set from The Damned (‘Machine Gun Etiquette Anniversary Live Set’).

The Damned — still featuring founding members Dave Vanian and Captain Sensible — are set to embark on a 35th anniversary tour of the U.S. and U.K. this fall that will find the band performing its 1977 debut ‘Damned Damned Damned’ and 1980’s ‘The Black Album’ each night.
