Red Bull Music Academy has released the complete video of a lecture delivered in Tokyo last November by husband-and-wife musical team Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz, who discuss their history with the Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club, plus the early CBGB scene and so much more, before taking audience questions.

For this week’s installment of Vintage Video, we turn to this killer Talking Heads concert that’s been making the rounds online, an 80-minute black-and-white performance filmed at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, N.J., about a month after the release of 1980′s Remain in Light.

In 2012, U.K. arts website The Space began posting, 100 at a time, titles from the late John Peel’s legendary record collection — reportedly numbering 26,000 LPs, 40,000 7-inches and “many thousands of” CDs. The listings included index cards, the records’ covers and, in some cases, links to stream the music on Spotify.

This week’s new releases include the brand-new studio album from Morrissey (‘World Peace is None of Your Business’) as well as vinyl reissues from Cocteau Twins, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Spiritualized, plus the digital release of the classic Talking Heads concert film ‘Stop Making Sense.’

previously unreleased and apparently never-completed 5-minute-long Talking Heads instrumental called “Theme” has surfaced online via a recording of the first of the band’s two sets opening for a pair of performances by Television at CBGB’s on the night of July 30, 1976.

For this week’s this installment of Vintage Video, we travel all the way back to 1978, when things apparently still were filmed in black and white, and the Talking Heads were still a herky-jerky four-piece yet to discover world music and on-stage guest musicians.

This week’s new releases include a brand-new live album from Ministry (out this week in the U.K., but not until late August in the U.S.), plus new vinyl pressings of Echo & The Bunnymen’s first album ‘Crocodiles’ and ‘Fear of Music,’ the third album from Talking Heads.
