Reunited grunge-era titans Soundgarden this week debuted the appropriately titled “Been Away Too Long,” the first song off forthcoming record ‘King Animal,’ the group’s first new studio album in 16 years. The rocker is the second new song to emerge since the band reunited in 2010.

Soundgarden tonight revealed the cover art and an 85-second teaser video for its forthcoming record ‘King Animal,’ the reunited group’s first new studio album in 16 years. The album arrives Nov. 13, and will be Soundgarden’s first since ‘Down on the Upside’ in 1996.

Seattle proto-grunge rockers Skin Yard — whose members included Jack Endino, producer of Nirvana’s ‘Bleach,’ and future Soundgarden and Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron — this month reissued most of its catalog digitally, with each record remastered and one, 1990’s ‘Fist Sized Chunks,’ remixed.
