To celebrate the release today of Primal Scream’s CD/DVD set ‘Screamadelica Live’ — filmed/recorded last fall during a performance of the band’s landmark 1991 album ‘Screamadelica’ in London — the folks at Universal Music have given us three copies to award to lucky Slicing Up Eyeballs readers.

This week’s new releases include concert DVDs/Blu-rays from Primal Scream and David Byrne; a live album of Peter Hook performing ‘Unknown Pleasures’; a reissue of Elvis Costello’s ‘Get Happy!!’ on audiophile vinyl; and the U.S. CD release of Kate Bush’s ‘Director’s Cut.’

Back in March we brought you news that Primal Scream would release a DVD and Blu-ray of its Nov. 26 performance of 1991’s just-reissued ‘Screamadelica’ in London — and now we can confirm that the concert film also will be released in the U.S. on both formats, with a bonus CD accompanying the DVD version.

The lineup for the 2011 installment of the venerable Glastonbury Festival was unveiled today, and, in addition to expected headliner U2, the massive fest also will feature sets by Morrissey, Big Audio Dynamite, Primal Scream, Hothouse Flowers, Robyn Hitchcock, Suzanne Vega, Billy Bragg and Nick Lowe.

Primal Scream this May will release a live DVD and Blu-ray capturing its first full-album performance of its classic 1991 record ‘Screamadelica’ — a concert staged last Nov. 26 in London, which has now kicked off months of touring behind the reissue.

This week’s new releases include brand-new albums from Dinosaur Jr’s J Mascis and Eleventh Dream Day, plus the Pet Shop Boys’ ballet score, Black Francis’ silent-film score, the monster reissue of Primal Scream’s ‘Screamadelica’ and a new edition of Nick Lowe’s ‘Labour of Lust.’
