Bobbie Gillespie will bring Primal Scream back to the West Coast of the U.S. for the first time in four years this October when the band plays four concerts in four California cities — San Francisco, Los Angeles, Pomona and Solana Beach — in support its 10th studio album, More Light, which was released earlier this year.

This week’s new releases include brand new studio albums from Miracle Legion’s Mark Mulcahy, Julian Cope, Steve Kilbey of The Church and Primal Scream, plus an expanded reissue and new rarities compilation from The Chameleons and a live vinyl release from The Fall.

The lineup for this summer’s Glastonbury festival was announced today, and it’s an utter monstrosity, with headliners The Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys and Mumford & Sons joined by a seemingly endless list of bands, including Primal Scream, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Elvis Costello, Billy Bragg and more.

Primal Scream today debuted the second single off the band’s upcoming 10th studio album ‘More Light,’ a song called “It’s Alright, It’s OK” that rides along on a ‘Screamadelica’-like groove and stands in stark contrast to the dark, honking rocker “2013” that preceded it. The album itself is due out May 13 in the U.K.

Primal Scream today debuted the first single off the band’s upcoming 10th studio album ‘More Light,’ a sax-fueled rocker called “2013” that comes with a pretty creepy video — which you can see here — that features pinned moths, tied-up people and masked make-out sessions. The full album is due out May 6 in the U.K.
