Trent Reznor went full circle Friday night in Chicago, bringing his resurrected Nine Inch Nails back to Lollapalooza some 22 years after the band played the then-traveling tour’s inaugural year. This time, instead of landing a daytime slot under the hot sun, NIN headlined the festival’s first night.
Can’t make it to Chicago this weekend for Lollapalooza? Don’t worry, you can still see the three-day festival — well part of it, anyway — thanks to weekend-long livestream of the event, which will feature webcasts of performances by The Cure, Nine Inch Nails and more.
Nine Inch Nails’ full 90-minute set at Fuji Rock Festival ’13 — which saw the live debut of current single “Came Back Haunted” and the world premieres of two other songs off the forthcoming Hesitation Marks (“Copy of A,” “Find My Way”) — has hit the web, thanks to YouTube user mikezak4.
Trent Reznor’s resurrected Nine Inch Nails this morning released the music video for comeback single “Came Back Haunted,” and not only is the clip directed by cinematic auteur David Lynch, it carries a warning that its strobe-like effects may cause seizures among viewers with epilepsy. So you’ve been warned.
Synth pioneer Gary Numan has expanded what was to be a very short run of West Coast dates in late summer by adding concerts in the Eastern U.S. this October leading up to a pair of opening slots on Nine Inch Nails’ fall arena tour in October. All told, Numan is now planning 13 North American shows through Oct. 31.
Trent Reznor’s resurrected Nine Inch Nails tonight announced that it will release a brand-new album titled Hesitation Marks on Sept. 3 — nearly four years to the day after Reznor “retired” the live incarnation of that band with an epic, guest-filled concert at Los Angeles’ Wiltern Theatre.
