Less than a week after postponing this week’s concerts, Morrissey today pulled the plug on the rest of his U.S. tour in order to stay in England with his ailing mother — but insists the concerts are not canceled, only postponed, and will be rescheduled “shortly.”

Two weeks into his U.S. tour, Morrissey today postponed his next four concerts — in Pittsburgh, Pa.; Columbus, Ohio; Flint, Mich.; and Chicago, Ill. — to return to England to be with is mother, who “has been hospitalized and is unwell,” according to a note posted to quasi-official fansite True To You.
