Morrissey, whose social media presence long has been limited to an official Facebook page, is now on Twitter, too — well, his management and/or record label is — and that account tonight tweeted a list of U.S. states that presumably mark stops on a soon-to-be-announced tour. The BBC has announced that Morrissey will kick off its 6 Music Live week in October, a series of live-on-the-air performances at the British broadcaster’s Maida Vale studios that also will feature Mogwai, alt-J, Loyle Carner and Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant.

After a quick sellout of the first date, Morrissey this afternoon announced he’ll play a second concert at the Hollywood Bowl this November with opener Billy Idol, a pair of shows that come about a week before the release of his 11th solo album, Low in High-School. Tickets go on sale next Tuesday.

Morrissey today announced the release of his first album in three years and 11th overall as a solo artist, a collection titled Low in High-School that will arrive Nov. 17 via his new Etienne Records imprint on the BMG label, according to the Manchester Evening News.
