Sebadoh to release ‘Defend Yourself’ — first new album in 14 years — this September

Sebadoh today announced plans to release its first new album in 14 years this September, a record titled Defend Yourself that follows up last year’s comeback Secret EP and that new label Joyful Noise Recordings claims “marks a return to the self-recorded DIY ethos of early Sebadoh albums (Bakesale, Sebadoh III).”

Dinosaur Jr announces new album ‘I Bet On Sky,’ 29-date fall North American tour

Dinosaur Jr today announced they will release their third post-reunion album, the 10-track ‘I Bet on Sky,’ on Sept. 17 in the U.K. and Sept. 18 in the U.S. and then embark on a 29-date North American tour this fall. In December 1988, when Dinosaur Jr entered Boston’s famed Fort Apache Studios, to record a track for ‘The Bridge: A Tribute to Neil Young,’ they cut not one but two songs: ‘Lotta Love,’ which would be included on the disc alongside covers by the Pixies, The Flaming Lips and Sonic Youth, and ‘I’ve Been Waiting For You.’
