Matador Records today announced that the tastemaking independent label will now oversee the early catalog of the Butthole Surfers.

Love and Rockets’ reunion grew significantly with the announcement of 10 more U.S. concerts, upping the trio’s total number of planned performances to 16.

New Order returns to American soil this March to perform at the 24th annual Tibet House U.S. Benefit Concert, joining Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, Joe Walsh and more at New York City’s Carnegie Hall to raise money for the nonprofit educational institution that’s dedicated to preserving Tibetan culture.

The Cure wrapped up its short “Great Circle Tour” with a headlining performance at the Lollapalzooza festival in Chicago on Sunday night, delivering a 2-hour, 26-song set — and for Robert Smith and Co., that’s a pretty gig — heavy on the band’s more poppy material. Check out the full webcast here.

Trent Reznor went full circle Friday night in Chicago, bringing his resurrected Nine Inch Nails back to Lollapalooza some 22 years after the band played the then-traveling tour’s inaugural year. This time, instead of landing a daytime slot under the hot sun, NIN headlined the festival’s first night.

While New Order’s set at Lollapalooza in Chicago was not part of the festival’s webcast last night, those watching the livestream did catch a glimpse of Bernard Sumner when he joined The Killers onstage — as he’s been known to do in the past — to help the band perform its souped-up cover of Joy Division’s “Shadowplay.”
