Depeche Mode brought their new single “Ghosts Again” to late-night TV for the second time last night, performing the song on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Having just wrapped up a European tour in support of their reunion album, The Afghan Whigs dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, where they performed a pair of tracks off Do To the Beast: the single “The Lottery,” which was shown on-air, and then, as a web-only performance, “I Am Fire,” coupled with just a taste of Fleetwood Mac’s “Tusk.”

Bob Mould swung by “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Wednesday to promote his new album Beauty & Ruin, tearing through a pair of the record’s tracks — “The War” on air, and “Hey Mr. Grey” as a web exclusive — with Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins filling in for Mould’s regular stickman, Jon Wurster.

Hard to believe, but last night’s appearance by Nine Inch Nails on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” was billed as the band’s first-ever network television performance. Trent Reznor and Co., in Los Angeles to play the Staples Center, performed a mini concert on Kimmel’s outdoor stage, with “All Time Low” getting aired on the show.

Last week Jane’s Addiction received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of debut studio album Nothing’s Shocking, the band played a short set for “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” part of which was aired on last night’s show and posted on the program’s YouTube channel.

Depeche Mode returned to “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday night for a follow-up to the band’s 2009 mini-concert, performing a short five-song set for a throng of fans, including its Delta Machine singles “Soothe My Soul” and “Heaven,” both of which were broadcast on the late-night show.

Depeche Mode will warm up for the opening of its Delta Machine world tour in Nice, France, early next month with a just-announced free concert in Los Angeles this Friday at The Troubadour, a 400-capacity club that radio station KROQ is calling “the smallest venue the band has played in L.A…. EVER!”
