Morrissey cancels 3 more shows, apologizes and promises to be ‘fit as a ferret for San Diego’

Morrissey today announced that his doctors have ordered additional rest, forcing the postponement of three more concerts late next week as he continues to undergo treatment for a bleeding ulcer and Barrett’s esophagus. He apologized for the cancellations, and promised to resume touring in San Diego.

Morrissey today announced that he will wrap up one of his busier touring years in recent memory with six concerts in Australia and New Zealand this December immediately following the close of his 35-date U.S. tour — which also will find Moz appearing on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “The Colbert Report.”

The Fixx returned to network television last night with an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that saw the band performing new single “Anyone Else” plus the classic “Red Skies” during the closing credits. The group stuck around to perform a web-only version of “One Thing Leads To Another” as well.

With his Thanksgiving-eve “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” outdoor concert canceled, Morrissey now has scheduled a second Los Angeles show to fill that night off. Moz will perform a newly announced concert Wednesday night at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Hollywood.

As promised back in August, Morrissey will augment his upcoming U.S. tour with a pair of television appearances: He’ll perform on ABC’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on Nov. 23 and then on TBS’s ‘Conan’ on Nov. 29, according to fansite and quasi-official news outlet True To You.
