Depeche Mode announced today plans to follow up last fall’s lengthy stateside tour with a new run of nine North American dates in late May and early June, a series of concerts that will see the band play New York City, Chicago, Boston and more. Full dates and details right here.
Depeche Mode tonight dusted off Music For the Masses fan-favorite “I Want You Now” for the first time in nearly a quarter century, with Martin Gore opening the band’s encore in Nuremberg, Germany, with a piano-based performance of the song. It was the first performance since July 8, 1994, in Noblesville, Ind.
Kate Bush, Depeche Mode, Eurythmics and The Cars are among the acts scoring nominations to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this week, joining a roster of potential inductees that also includes Radiohead, MC5, Nina Simone, Bon Jovi and Rage Against the Machine. See the full list of nominations here.

Depeche Mode has been performing a cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes” on its Global Spirit Tour for the past several months, and today the group released a music video for a studio version of the cut in honor of the iconic song’s 40th anniversary. Watch the full video here.
