Former Hüsker Dü frontman Bob Mould is expanding a planned solo-electric outing from two previously announced New York City dates to a total of at least 10 shows, with seven new performances set for Denver, St. Paul, Minn., Chicago, Toronto, Cleveland and Austin, Texas, in April.

Bob Mould and his eponymous band stopped by “The Late Show with David Letterman” on Friday night to promote their current album, Beauty & Ruin, performing a pair of songs — “Tomorrow Morning” and “Kid with a Crooked Face” — back to back. Watch that performance right here.

Bob Mould swung by “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Wednesday to promote his new album Beauty & Ruin, tearing through a pair of the record’s tracks — “The War” on air, and “Hey Mr. Grey” as a web exclusive — with Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins filling in for Mould’s regular stickman, Jon Wurster.

This week’s new releases include the 3CD reissue of the NME’s legendary ‘C86′ compilation cassette, plus the debut solo effort from The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, a new EP from The Mission, 8-Bit Operators’ “chiptune” Depeche Mode tribute and the UK release of Bob Mould’s ‘Beauty & Ruin.’

This week’s new releases include brand-new studio albums from Bob Mould, Peter Murphy, Echo & The Bunnymen, Camper Van Beethoven and James, plus reissues from Morrissey and Soundgarden, and a new latter-period best-of from Paul Weller.

Earlier this month, Bob Mould treated fans to the first taste of his upcoming 11th solo album Beauty & Ruin, issuing a “pure adrenalin shot” called “Hey Mr. Grey.” That wasn’t the first official single off the upcoming 35-minute record, though. The single, “I Don’t Know You Anymore,” dropped this week.
