The reunited Belly — Tanya Donelly’s post-Throwing Muses, post-Breeders alt-rock outlet — will release its first album in 23 years this May, an 11-song collection that’s being previewed by first single “Shiny One” and will be supported by U.S. and U.K. tours later this year. Tanya Donelly has announced plans to go into the studio with her reunited ’90s act Belly to record that band’s 22-years-in-the-making third album, and she’s re-teaming with her former Throwing Muses bandmate (and step-sister) Kristin Hersh for a concert this fall in Boston.

This week’s new release include a box set of R.E.M.’s IRS-era singles on 7-inch, plus the “Millions Like Us” mod revival box set, vinyl reissues from Belly and The Lemonheads, a reissue of The Jam’s “Setting Son” and a new double-album from Camper Van Beethoven offshoot Cracker.

Originally released in 1993, Star — the debut album from ex-Throwing Muses member Tanya Donelly’s band Belly — will receive its first-ever American vinyl release later this year when Plain Recordings reissues the title on 180-gram vinyl, the label announced on Facebook.
