Today we continue with more results from our Readers Poll 2012, this time counting down the Top 10 compilations, box sets and live albums, with titles from the likes of World Party, James, Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros, Roxy Music, The Specials, Skinny Puppy, Duran Duran and more.

This week’s new release include the CD debut of “Athens, GA – Inside/Out,” paired with a DVD, plus Clan of Xymox’s cover album “Kindred Spirits,” featuring their take on The Cure, Depeche Mode and more, as well as three Kirsty MacColl reissues and an audiophile vinyl pressing of R.E.M.’s ‘Document.’

Omnivore Recordings this fall will release the soundtrack to the cult 1987 documentary ‘Athens, GA – Inside/Out’ — which chronicled the music scene that spawned R.E.M., The B-52s and more — on CD for the first time, packaging it with a DVD of the film and five bonus tracks, two of which are ‘previously unheard performances.’

Dreams So Real — featured in the landmark rock doc ‘Athens, GA: Inside/Out’ and whose debut single and album were produced by R.E.M.’s Peter Buck — are reuniting for a pair of rare concerts next month, and are whetting fans’ appetites by streaming a previously unreleased early-’90s demo.
