‘Love This Giant’ — the 2-years-in-the-making album by former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne and singer-songwriter/guitar ace Annie Clark, better known as St. Vincent — arrives in stores one week from today, but you can get an early listen to the full record courtesy of NPR.

With the release of their album ‘Love This Giant’ still nearly two months out, ex-Talking Heads frontman David Byrne and singer-songwriter/guitar ace Annie Clark, better known as St. Vincent, this week offered up a second sampling of the disc: the horn-laden “Weekend in the Dust,” the second song on the album.

In the works for nearly three years, ‘Love This Giant’ — the joint album by former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne and singer-songwriter/guitar ace Annie Clark, better known as St. Vincent — will be released in September, after which the two will embark on a 25-date fall North American tour.

This week Beck and his Record Club gang tackle one of the lesser-known tracks on INXS’ ‘Kick,’ ‘Calling All Nations,’ offering up a nice, mellow jam with St. Vincent’s Annie Clark once again taking the mic.

Beck and his Record Club crew, featuring members of St. Vincent, Liars and Os Mutantes, cover ‘New Sensation,’ the second track off INXS’ 1987 blockbuster ‘Kick.’ The ad-hoc group gives the hit single a dreamy, acoustic makeover, complete with violin and vocals from St. Vincent’s Annie Clark and Liars’ Angus Andrew.
