Blaming the ever-popular ‘visa issues,’ reunited 2 Tone ska kings The Specials today pulled the plug on their free concert next month in New York City’s Central Park — but announced plans to ‘return to the U.S. in early 2011 for additional dates.’
Reunited 2 Tone ska legends The Specials performed ‘Gangsters’ and ‘Nite Klub’ on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ last night, and have begun setting dates for a late-summer return to North America, with concerts announced so far in New York, New Jersey and Toronto.
New York gets another crack at two hot tickets: The Specials have added a second NYC date and a-ha a third to their very brief U.S. tours this spring. The reunited 2 Tone ska act plays Terminal 5 on April 20, while the Norwegian pop trio has added a third and final show at the Nokia Theatre on May 8.
