Elizabeth Fraser, the unforgettable voice of the Cocteau Twins, will return to the concert stage this summer for a pair of rare performances at the Antony-curated Meltdown festival at London’s Royal Albert Hall, which are being billed as her first solo concerts since the Cocteaus split up in 1998.

The process of putting the late John Peel’s legendary record collection — reportedly numbering 26,000 LPs and 40,000 7-inches — online has begun, with the first 100 titles in his ‘A’ section debuting today at The Space. Each week through Oct. 1, the first 100 titles under each letter of the alphabet will join the site.

Taking a page from Depeche Mode’s Alan Wilder, guitarist Porl Thompson this month will auction off dozens of personal items spanning his tenure(s) in The Cure, including a guitar played on ‘Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me’ and ‘Wish,’ album artwork proofs and clothing ranging from a ‘black net catsuit’ to leather corsets.

Demon Music Group this summer will reissue two of Bob Mould’s ’90s solo albums with a live disc, Mould will perform Sugar’s ‘Copper Blue’ at Milwaukee’s Summerfest, and he’ll headline a benefit concert in North Carolina this week to help defeat a measure that would prohibit recognition of same-sex marriages.

This week’s new releases include ‘Echoes and Rhymes,’ the first new album from The Primitives in 21 years, plus reissues of Swans’ 1989 major-label album ‘The Burning World’ and ‘The Big Heat,’ the 1986 solo debut from Wall of Voodoo’s Stan Ridgway.
