Peter Murphy will head Down Under early next year for his first-ever tour of Australia — as either a solo artist or as a member of Bauhaus — but not before completing a few more one-off shows in the U.S., including his $500-a-ticket “Halloween Miracula” concert in Los Angeles and newly announced dates in San Diego and Miami.
Depeche Mode opened today’s press conference in Paris with an in-studio video set to the sounds of an as-yet-unnamed new song — although it seems likely it’ll be called “Angel of Love” — and you can now hear the track in its entirety via the clip posted above. Depeche Mode held a news conference in Paris today to announce the European leg of its 2013 world tour — the dates mirroring those that leaked yesterday — and tease fans with a preview of a track from the band’s as-yet-untitled album, which Martin Gore characterized as a cross between ‘Violator’ and ‘Songs of Faith and Devotion.’
Public Image Ltd. brought its U.S. tour to Minneapolis tonight, and before John Lydon and Co. played their headlining date, the band stopped by the studios of The Current to record a three-song session. This week’s new releases include expanded reissues of Peter Gabriel’s ‘So’ and Heaven 17’s ‘The Luxury Gap,’ plus a new live CD/DVD set from The Mission, the previously unreleased original demo tape from Rites of Spring, a new album from XTC’s Andy Partridge and Peter Blegvad, and vinyl release from The B-52s and Ultravox.
Depeche Mode is set to hold a press conference in Paris tomorrow, where the band is expected to announce details of its next studio album, which is due out next spring, and plans for yet another massive world tour, its first since the global outing in support of 2009’s Sounds of the Universe.
