Trevor Horn’s groundbreaking electro-pop label ZTT Records is commemorating a major milestone this fall with The Organization of Pop: Music From The First Thirty Years of ZTT Records, a new 2CD, 28-track compilation that collects tracks from Propaganda, Art of Noise, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, 808 State and more.

Dean Wareham, former frontman of dreampop favorites Galaxie 500 and Luna, today released a new solo single — “Love is Colder Than Death” b/w “She Want Walking in the Rain” — in advance of a mini-LP he’s prepping for release this fall, according to Pitchfork, which premiered the single.

The Butthole Surfers this fall will reissue their first four full-length albums — 1984’s Psychic… Powerless… Another Man’s Sac, 1986’s Rembrandt Pussyhorse, 1987’s Locust Abortion Technician and 1988’s Hairway to Steven — on vinyl for the first time since their original Touch and Go Records pressings.

Sebadoh hit the road earlier this month for a handful of dates in the western U.S. to tease next months’ release of Defend Yourself, the band’s first new album in 14 years. The Replacements Live Archive Project — a tremendous resource for ‘Mats fans — already has shared a full recording of last night’s historic set by The Replacements at Riot Fest in Toronto, the band’s first in 22 years. Now, while it is an audience recording, it’s actually surprisingly good.

The Cure continues to sporadically drop new fall tour dates, with the latest being an arena concert booked for the University of Texas at El Paso on Oct. 10 during the week between Robert Smith and Co.’s two headlining appearances at the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
