The Pixies today announced the release of the third in their series of self-released vinyl-and-digital EPs over the last seven months, and now will compile all 12 new songs released since last summer’s “Bagboy” digital single as a full-length album that will make the band’s new music available on CD.

Peter Murphy returns with brand-new music late this spring as he releases his much-anticipated 10th album Lion, an 11-track collection produced by Killing Joke bassist Youth that the former Bauhaus frontman previewed in rough form over the PA before concerts on his 2013 tour.

This week’s new releases include a second batch of 180-gram audiophile vinyl Depeche Mode reissues, plus an 11-disc box set from The Stranglers, an expanded reissue of Aztec Camera’s debut ‘High Land, Hard Rain,’ and heavyweight vinyl reissues of all six albums by The Jam.

The Jesus and Mary Chain — who performed live just a handful of times last year — have been confirmed for their first show of 2014 as organizers of the Cultura Ingelsa Festival in Sao Paolo, Brazil, announced this week that the brothers Reid will close out the the 18th annual music fest on May 25.

The famously stage-averse Kate Bush — who, until now, has toured just once, in 1979 — today shocked fans worldwide by announcing “we will be performing some live shows this coming August and September.” More specifically, Bush confirmed a run of 15 concerts at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
