As we reported last week, The Psychedelic Furs are touring the western U.S. this fall with The Lemonheads, and we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to one of those shows: the bands’ Nov. 13 concert at the House of Blues in Anaheim, Calif.

More than a year ago, the surviving members of The Call reunited with for a pair of concerts in California with Robert Levon Been of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club filling in for his late father Michael Been, and while a full tour never came to pass, the band has now released a CD and DVD.

Tonight’s edition of “Dark Wave” on Sirius XM’s 1st Wave featured music from Portion Control, 1919, Tones on Tail, Anne Clark, The Sound, Joy Division, Lard, Daniel Ash, The Cure, Gary Numan, KMFDM, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Alien Sex Fiend, Dead Can Dance, Shriekback and more.

The Jesus and Mary Chain today confirmed two European festival appearances this summer and fall — in Paris and Katowice, Poland — ahead of the band’s much-anticipated performances of 1985 debut Psychocandy at five U.K. dates in November.

Next week, the classic 1983 debut album from The The will receive a slightly belated 30th anniversary reissue in the form of a deluxe 2LP set that will include the newly remastered album on one 180-gram vinyl platter and six remixes and B-sides on the other.
