New Order will release a new live album this spring recorded at London’s Brixton Academy on Nov. 17, 2015, during the group’s tour in support of its latest record Music Complete. The 18-track live set will be released on double CD, triple clear 180-gram vinyl and digital download.

John Lever, the longmtime drummer for Manchester post-punk favorites The Chameleons and spin-off groups The Sun and the Moon and ChameleonsVox, died this morning following “a short period of illness,” his longtime musical collaborator Mark Burgess announced on Facebook.

The long-in-the-works documentary about the rise and fall of Chicago’s Wax Trax! Records retail shop and record label — home to Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Front 242 and more — will premiere with two special test screenings and panel discussions on April 1 in the Windy City.

This week’s new releases include “Spirit,” the 14th studio album from Depeche Mode, the “Lloyd Cole in New York: Complete Recordings 1988-1996” 6-disc box set, including Cole’s ’90s solo albums and unreleased demos, plus a new solo album, “American Beauty,” by latter-era Ramones bassist CJ Ramone.

“Dark Wave,” hosted by Slicing Up Eyeballs’ Matt Sebastian, airs 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. EDT every Sunday on Sirius XM satellite radio’s 1st Wave (Channel 33). The most recent two episodes also are available via Sirius XM’s On Demand service for online subscribers.

Former Bauhaus frontman Peter Murphy will perform a 15-night residency at The Chapel in San Francisco in June and July, performing “a retrospective of his greatest solo albums in their entirety” along with a handful of classic tracks from his prior band. Tickets for the concerts go on sale Monday.

An XTC fan in the U.K. has launched a petition to convince the BBC to air a new documentary about the band called “This Is Pop” following reports the British television broadcaster has passed on showing Special Treats Productions’ film. By Saturday, the petition had collected more than 1,600 digital signatures.
