For this week’s installment of Vintage Video, we flash back to XTC’s early turn as a touring band for this 1979 performance filmed in Paris and broadcast by French TV. The 20-minute set comes a few months after the release of Drums and Wires, and opens with three songs off that album.

The reunited Dream Syndicate today announced its first new album in 29 years, an eight-song collection titled How Did I Find Myself Here? that’s due out in September and is preceded by the release of its title track, an 11-minute psychedelic journey that you can stream in full right here.
The Futurismo label this summer will reissue the limited-edition Devo rarities set Recombo DNA! — described as a career-spanning “sonic fusion of demos, alternate versions and outtakes” — on 4LPs and a 3-inch mini CD in an expanded edition with seven previously tracks. New Order today announced it will follow up its appearance at Riot Fest in Chicago this September with a one-off headlining date at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, a concert that will feature a special opening set by Mute Records labelmates Goldfrapp. See full details and tour dates here.
