Yesterday, we noted on the Slicing Up Eyeballs Facebook page, was the 22nd anniversary of the release of Ministry’s much-loved In Case You Didn’t Feel Like Showing Up live album — and, as one of our readers quickly pointed out, a high-quality transfer of the out-of-print VHS-only video version recently surfaced on YouTube.
In October 1988, an MTV-packaged “new music” tour featuring Living Colour, The Godfathers and The Sugarcubes hit Alabama’s Auburn University, where the music-video network filmed the latter band’s 50-minute, 14-song set for a special that aired during the “second 60” of “120 Minutes” on Christmas of that same year.
On July 13, 1991, Aussie rockers INXS played to a sold-out crowd of 72,000 fans at London’s Wembley Stadium, exactly six years to the day after Live Aid was held at the same venue. The concert was recorded for a live album and film, and in this installment of Vintage Video, we present the entire 90-minute “Live Baby Live” concert film.
For our latest installment of Vintage Video, we turn, yet again, to the fabulous archive of the German TV show ‘Rockpalast,’ this time for a full, 100-minute concert by Big Country that was filmed March 15, 1986, during the band’s tour ahead of the release of its third album, ‘The Seer.’

For our latest installment of Vintage Video we turn back to 1987 with this 38-minute reel of rare behind-the-scenes footage of The Cure during the making of its classic video for ‘Just Like Heaven.’ As the indispensable Chain of Flowers points out, this French-produced footage was posted to Vimeo by director Tim Pope.
