One-half of The Smiths reunited on stage in New York on Saturday night for the second time this year, as bassist Andy Rourke showed up toward the end of Johnny Marr’s gig at Webster Hall to once again perform their former band’s classic “How Soon Is Now?” and, this time, “Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want” as well.

Morrissey will celebrate the life and legacy of Lou Reed by releasing a single featuring a live cover of the late rocker’s 1972 classic “Satellite of Love” recorded two years ago first as a digital download in early December and then on vinyl early next year, according to an announcement made via semi-official fansite True To You.

Hard to believe, but last night’s appearance by Nine Inch Nails on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” was billed as the band’s first-ever network television performance. Trent Reznor and Co., in Los Angeles to play the Staples Center, performed a mini concert on Kimmel’s outdoor stage, with “All Time Low” getting aired on the show.
